In 1981 he immigrated to Canada’s west coast and became partner and General Manager of the 8 acre Western Lettuce Now. It was further expanded to 14 acre. In 1986 he partnered to begin Bevo Farms, a plant propagator. After a few years that included equipment sales, and when Bevo Farms was 2.5 acre, he and his family became the sole owners of Bevo in 1993. As expansion continued, Bevo became a public company in 2000, and now has 50 acres of growing space. He made Bevo Agro North America’s leading supplier of propagated plants.
